In my opinion Patreon used to be great, however throughout the years it has gotten more and more features, and gotten more and more advanced and cluttered, to the point where it has become it's own content creating platform.
There are other options out there such as Buy Me A Coffee and Ko-Fi, but I have decided instead of using any of those third parties, I'm going to be doing it myself.
This is made with Stripe, and one of the main benefits are the fact that I get most of what you actually donate. Stripe only takes between 1.5% - 2.5%, whereas Patreon takes 15% and YouTube Memberships take 30%.
Stripe is easy to setup, user-friendly and has a great reputation and a great customer service.
